If you read any of the unfairly canceled Blue Beetle series then you know just how important Jamie Reyes’ family were to him.
Very often the best moments of that series involved his parents and little sister giving their opinion or P.O.V. on whatever crazy cosmic super heroic adventure Jaime got into. And while yes – if you’re just approaching this with an outsiders perspective it may seem like Jamie has come down with a bad case of the grim and gritties – but let’s be honest: I cannot think of one thing that the Blue Beetle series did that seemed cliche? Everything that tackled – even if the situation was familar the eventual handling of it was completely and utterfly different.
