Hobbystar just sent an email that attendance for Fan Expo 2011 was 77,840, unofficially making it the third largest comic convention in North America after San Diego and New York. Crowd control was smooth this year: organized lines managed by a lot of staff made for fast moving entrances and exits.

Any one remember what the official attendance was last year?
Wikipedia says 64,000.
Wow that’s amazing!
I’m never sure how they count these things. I’d like to know how many unique visitors came. Do they count repeat visits by the same person as multiple visits? This year was the 1st year as a 4 day show, does that mean the, say, 10,000 weekend pass holders counted as 30,000 last year (3 days) and 40,000 this year (4 days)?
Weekend passes were counted as one visitor, day tickets as one visitor.
Thanks Scott
