Came across a great video about the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum on BoingBoing. Basically some artists who do a podcast went there to have a tour and a look at some great original comic strip and comic book artwork. It’s the largest collection of original comic strip artwork in the world, starting when Milton Caniff donated his original art in the 1970s and growing from there. If you’ve ever bought a comic strip reprint collection check the credits in the front and most likely you’ll see the material came from this library.
