Hawkeye #1 Variant by Adi Granov

This one may be more a “technically incorrect” cover versus our normal crazy covers: Hawkeye issue 1 variant cover by Adi Granov.

I am a compound bow owner and target shooter so there’s some experience speaking here. Take a look at Hawkeye’s hands on the bow. If he’s planning to shoot the bow sideways as it’s currently being held he won’t be able to draw it back fully. If he’s going to turn the bow into a vertical position to allow the full draw then his right hand will be backwards. Basically Hawkeye’s right hand should be under the bow string and not over it.

  1. Nice catch, Scott. Funny how some things look completely normal to some, while to those in-the-know they are glaring. Maybe Granov has seen one too many “gangster” flicks where these jokers put the “cool” factor over accuracy by holding their sidearms sideways. I’m incapable of seeing that on the screen without spouting off on some sort of rant. 😉
