“Opinions are like a$$holes, everybody’s got one”. Ahh the oh so true quote from that great fictional San Francisco Police Detective, Harry Callahan. Comic book fans are never short of opinions. We are usually very polarized in our likes or dislikes of characters, writers, artists, publishers etc. Most of us don’t have a good outlet for expressing these opinions and that’s why I’m suggesting everyone blog.
Blogging is a great way to let the world know what your view is. Got something to say about Marvel’s new Heroic Age? Blogging a 1000 word opinion gets the creative juices flowing, gives you something to do and is very good for the soul. Who knows, your blog may become so popular that someone might even be willing to pay you money to do it.
Most people that blog start up their own sites while others will go even further and try to find some other websites that are looking for content contributors and also post with them.
Yeah you can go on to Marvel.com or on Twitter and say a few words about something but a true blog will give you the freedom to really explore a subject to the fullest.
After a while you’ll find yourself looking forward to producing your weekly blog (or daily, or monthly). It gets especially satisfying when you actually start getting feedback (warning; not all feedback may be positive). Blogging will involve you more in the hobby you already love, and that’s a good thing.
