Captain Marvel #33, Marvel Comics, (7/74), graded by CGC at 9.2 with Off White to White pages sold for $65.00 on eBay on February 10th. Overstreet price guide value for this comic at 9.2 is $45.00. This comic book sold for 144% of Overstreet guide value. I think this is a great result for this book. This whole Starlin/Thanos era of Captain Marvel languished for so many years I hope this is a sign of renewed demand.
Detective Comics #422, DC Comics, (4/72), graded by CGC at 9.2 with Off White pages sold on eBay for $78.00 on February 11th. Overstreet price guide value for this comic at 9.2 is $55.00. This comic book sold for 142% of Overstreet guide value. This was a great era from Batman. Collectors love the darker more serious tone the title was enjoying in this era.
Astonishing Tales #1, Marvel Comics, (8/70), graded by CGC at 9.2 with White pages sold for $75.00 on eBay on February 10th. Overstreet price guide value for this comic at 9.2 is $90.00. This comic book sold for 83.3% of Overstreet guide value. This comic was always just a tad overvalued in the guide and I think the market reflected a fair value for the book. A good result.
All-Star Comics #58, DC Comics, (1-2/76), graded by CGC at 9.2 with Off White to White pages sold for $51.00 on eBay on February 10th. Overstreet price guide value for this comic at 9.2 is $80.00. This comic book sold for 63.8% of Overstreet guide value. This is another comic that is overvalued in the guide. It is the Power Girl Intro so there is value here.
Amazing Spider-Man #100, Marvel Comics, (9/71), graded by CGC at 9.2 with Off White to White pages sold for $208.50 on eBay on February 10th. Overstreet price guide value for this comic at 9.2 is $290.00. This comic book sold for 71.9% of Overstreet guide value. This was a bargain. A high grade, anniversary issue of probably the most collected era of probably the most collected title should not be selling for 72% of guide. Good purchase.
