Hey Walter, speaking of DD#131, check out my latest acquisition. What do you think… advantage seller… or advantage Charlie! Well, at $1178 + shipping, I think I paid about 2 bills over current market. All that DD talk had me hunting for a #168 but I ended up with another #131 instead.
Here’s a business proposition for you; what say you and I buy up all the DD#131 in existence. Once we’re ready to retire, we’ll destroy 99% of them so that it’ll become more rare then an AF#15… and we’ll be the only one to have any copies.
It can’t fail… Can it?
Very nice pick up Charlie. You are in the top 3% for this book. The only thing I’ll rib you on is the Off White to White. I would have held off for a White.
Great plan re buying them all up. See the Hunt brothers tried to corner the Silver market back in the 80s but the problem with silver is that if you melt it down – it’s still silver! But a nice comic bonfire…
I say we don’t stop at the DD #131, I propose others like say… X-Force #2!
“Avengers” #4 for two bucks??! Like THAT would ever happen!
🙂
Is there a connection between Bulls-eye from Nick Fury Agent Of SHIELD issue 15, November 1969 and Bullseye from Daredevil 131, March 1976?
The Hunt brothers: Hilarious! Definitely belongs in the “truth is stranger than fiction” category.
Before we move on the DD#131, I feel obligated to disclose that I sold all my Apple shares in December of 2004. In other words… you’ll have to be the brains in our newly formed partnership.
My other purchases:
PM & If #50 (not really a key but I love this book)
X#94
I can’t believe how soft the market has become. And with the exchange rate being what it is… seems like a good time to stock up on some key books. But if you see me on the streets with a shopping cart full of CGC books… someone please whack me over the head with a 9.8!
