  1. Distribution and price – just as I noted to Scott VanderPloeg’s posting about the Comics Code yesterday. (I guess your comment came first on the radio, but I can’t pick up the McMaster station down here, so it was new to me.) And I agree with your assessment that other channels would not cannibalize the business from comic shops, but instead enhance and broaden their business. Practically most of the books that are going through shops today would not be suitable for this more pedestrian distribution in any case. If anything, it is the highly specialized, expert establishments that are going to survive as brick and mortar in the Amazon age, and these businesses will benefit from as broad introductory exposure to their specialty through high volume channels.

  2. I agree Chris, comic shops are specialty shops staffed by people with very deep knowledge of the products. This is an advantage that shops have to figure out how to best exploit.

  3. I say!… I am most certainly still out here, chaps Great show.

Owen might hold the record for ‘slowest record’ – but that’s why I love you.

Comic Culture is for life, not just for Christmas.

Your Halloween shows have a reputation for being hilarious by the way… poems will be expected, no pressure.

Keep playing your cards, I’ll always pick up what you put down.
