Scott Mendelson’s 3 June Forbes piece on Gojira is a very nice analysis of the situation. The trailers I saw for the film looked like a complete mess and I had no interest. Meanwhile another Forbes article on Ma makes that film out to be an over-the-top success on a relative basis ($5mm budget vs. Gojira’s $170mm), so you can laugh at Ma on her way to the bank.
