  1. Walt mentions ‘beautiful green cover’ at one point…reminds me of a great story of Jim Shooter about this office myth of Stan Lee hating green covers, whilst it wasn’t try, it’s why green covers are so rare…

There are some great greens out there…and I’m hereby asking the assembled cognoscenti to assist me in a nice list of green covered Marvels:

    Astonishing Tales #30
    Avengers #45
    Avengers #144 – Hellcat
    Avengers #196 – Taskmaster
Captain Marvel #3 – some gorgeous Gene work
Master of Kung-fu #68 – the source of the article
    Marvel comics presents #73, #75 – Barry Windsor Smith’s Weapon X
    Wolverine (ltd) #3
X-Men #94 – this is really what started my thinking, that deep green is great
    X-Men #135 – Chris’s new addition

    What am I missing folks?

  2. Amazing Spider-Man 107
What was that Batman cover with Poison Ivy growing over him? 367?

  3. Thanks Walt, I have both of those too, just read the Bat #367 (you are spot on) last week – and of course the gimme was meant to be X-Men #50 – I’ve been fortunate enough to buy a high grade copy for a friend of mine and that truly is a stunning cover.

  4. You see what you did! Now I’m just walking around doing my thing and a green Marvel cover pops into my head forcing me to drop everything and log on to type Hulk #377.

  5. Ha #377!!! Classic 90s!

I started collecting in 1993 and let me tell you something…you know that you’re a true 90’s collector when you can locate & open your comic box at night with the lights off…cause everything is glowing!!!

…and if you open it up during the day you need to wear sunglasses to protect your eyes because of all the reflective foil!!!

  6. Chris, at the comic convention, specific to comics, were the buyers old buggers like you and Walt? Or is there a younger demographic taking over and carrying the torch?
Thanks for the podcast boys, it proves that Im not the only one without a life 😉
