A Small Gift

This week the boys do a little daydreaming and imagine how they would spend one million dollars if someone gifted them the money to spend only on comic books, and they had only three months to spend it.

Please let us know what you thought of the show by leaving a comment in the comments field below and, as always, we ask you to keep things civil.

How would you spend the money?

  1. Methinks Chris and Walt are celebrating getting away from the wife’s for the night…thus the merriment……their real wish granted. 😀

  2. Would a million dollars buy a complete collection of Whites? Is there even a complete collection out there? Do any of the libraries or universities have a complete set, even if not in nice shape? I know they would never sell, even for a million dollars.

  3. Wait wait wait… filtering thru all of it did you mention an old curmudgeon in Ny with a raw collection that you would slap down $200,000.00 for… hmmm throw in a case of Proper 12 and you have a deal!
If I had a million to spend in comics… I would set aside about 25 grand and fill in my FF run with 1-5. I would buy an Archie 50, and I would get Tim Holt 11. The rest I would squander on golden age Timley, DC, and horror… anything that struck my fancy I didn’t have!

  4. Gerald ! I like how you left some room for haggling…

Klaus, I don’t think anybody has all the Whites, some have come close. I know Ryerson U in Toronto, Western U in London have each received large Whites collections and McMaster will be getting another large Whites collection so there are non available for collectors.

Dave, I guess it takes one to know two.

I’ve just revisited the fantasy and have already changed my mind on how I’d spend $1 million, would be fun.
