This is the final weekly Web Arted. We’ve had a solid 3.5 year run of exciting art every week but the column has run its course.

  1. Much apologies for not having commented before this, esp. in light of your impending departure, but as an artist & art teacher, I have always enjoyed & appreciated this compendium of fine art & have downloaded more than a few images to add to my screensaver throughout the years.
Thanks very much for your hard work & your mad culling skillz.
Always good stuff & it will be missed.
    Be good & be well.

  2. My sentiments are shared with the commenter above. This column was one the highlights of my week and far superior to other weekly “best art” offerings by competing sites like Comic Alliance and Multiversity.

Looking forward to reading more of your work on this site and eBabble.

  3. thanks scott. willi is to fritz what colletta is to kirby. i always defended his take on kirby toning down his bursts of energy. it was very effective on the asgard series.

  4. Hey Scott
This is the first inkling I have had that you will be ending your posts. You will be sorely missed. Your weekly compendium of fine art has been one of the great joys of my life of late. I love your heavy emphasis on Kirby for one thing! I have saved more than just a few images for my files. Also, your inclusion of Pooh and Christopher Robin and Piglet on the bridge took me totally off guard! It was hard enough when Ivan finished his hundredth post, but I hope, like him, you will pop in for a visit once in a while.

    all the best, mel

  5. Thanks to all for the kind words about this column. Unfortunately for the amount of work required it gets a small amount of hits each week.

I’ll be dedicating more time to original art Auction Highlights and other new features.
