Before you get too excited it’s only a cover but never the less it’s Walt Simonson returning to his longest running work, Thor. Let’s hope someone can talk him into a regular gig; give the image a click to see it in full size glory.
Simonson had a terrific run on Thor, first writing and drawing but then cutting back to writing with Sal Buscema handling the art. Marvel has collected this work in a series called Thor Visionaries: Walter Simonson and they’re well worth picking up; check out my review.
