Michael Cho is right up there in my list of all time favourite artists. He lives in Toronto and attends all the local shows so if I’m lucky I pick up a few pieces from him a year. I’ve been following this stunning Daredevil gauche painting via Twitter and Michael’s website.
A wonderful opportunity to follow from rough to pencils and then painted finished art. Another well composed and strong piece in Cho’s signature style of utilizing a single colour. The frenetic movement is so strong and clear against that stunning background. The colour rough really gives me a Paul Pope vibe but then Cho tightens and cleans it up. Very nice.
