Day 50 – Amazing Spider-Man #50, July 1967, Artist – John Romita.
I warned everybody back on Day 15 that the Tomb of Terror would have to suffice for our face melting covers. John Romita’s cover to Amazing Spider-Man #50 is one of the definitive covers of the hobby, we can’t over emphasis it’s influence.
ASM #50 was the only choice. I enjoy the daily column becasue each day is a guessing game. But when the feature started I thought there were 2 locks for cover choices – Silver Surfer #4 and Amazing Spider-Man #50.
Also my favorite #50 cover with Archie 50 being a close 2nd.
Can Silver Surfer #3 and ASM#33 be far off?
