Covered 365: Day 36

A great comic book cover matching each day of the year, 1 through 365. Please chime in with your favourite corresponding cover, from any era.

Day 36 – Shadow Comics, March 1944, Artist – Vernon Greene (though comics.org did have a question mark beside his name).

The Shadow Comics run of the 1940s had tons of great covers and deserved at least one featured in the Covered 365 exercise. The cover to Shadow Comics #36 is easily one of my favourites.

  1. Definitely right about that Walt. Almost in every volume of the series there’s at least one or two standout covers.

  2. The crazy thing is that I just had this book on my eBay wish list, but I didn’t look closely enough at it to really appreciate it. A raw copy so who knows… Anyway a solid choice, although I would put Captain America Comics or World’s Finest ahead.

Still just maintaining a few days ahead, my #39s:

    Captain America Comics
    Exciting (the clear winner)
    New Mutants
    Superman’s Girlfriend Lois Lane
    Tip Top

Journey Into Unknown Worlds #39 reminds me of going to work in the morning.

If your speaking of the Canadian issue, as a person on the management side of the transit “sorry for your inconvenience” 🙂
