Day 30 – Fight Comics #30, Artist – Joe (no foolin) Doolin.
Boy there must have been a competition among the Golden Age artists, who’s gonna draw the damsel in peril in the most ridiculous (and ominous) situation. Doolin set the bar high with this far fetched scenario.
This was in my top 3 for #30 along with Astonishing and Vault of Horror. Even though the next cover in that series is the best in the run. I think we all know that it can’t beat out a certain Batman cover.
I think I would still pick Vault of Horror over this one, but I can’t argue with this choice.
