Covered 365: Day 297

Incredible Hulk #297, Marvel Comics, July 1984. Artist: Bill Sienkiewicz.

The water effect is fantastic on Bill Sienkiewicz’s cover to Hulk #297, that is some funky art right there.

I really like Lee Week’s Typhoid Mary cover on Daredevil #297.

My new best friend Bob Oksner gives us a neat cover to Superman #297, did Clarke ever really think he could NOT be Superman?

A great comic book cover matching each day of the year, 1 through 365. Please chime in with your favourite corresponding cover, from any era.

  1. I like the first two picks… although wonder what the story is behind Hulk’s screaming reflection. Supes really has me perplexed as to how he has his alter ego being menaced… why he has to hire thugs to do it… and wondering if Clarks own paycheck is paying for them!

  2. My take on the Supermsn cover was that Clark saw three robbers, with one holding a bag of loot, and figured he could take them on. Superman is merely standing there watching the carnage. I used to have this issue but I can’t recall the story. I remember there was one where a Superman robot believed that he was really Clark but not Superman.
