Batman #294, DC Comics, December 1977. Artist: Jim Aparo.
This Jim Aparo cover run on Batman is really good, on Batman #294 Jim gives us a stand out Joker cover that I’ve never had a hard time selling.
Mike Zeck’s cover to Amazing Spider-Man #294 is so identifiable these days, the whole ” Kraven’s Last Hunt” arc has great covers and this one is no exception.
I mentioned before I was on a panel with Ken Steacy at the Fan Expo in August, nice guy and I like his cover to Hulk #294. Hey Ken, on the off chance you are reading this, I still have some of your CBLDF boxes at the shop, contact me to set up a pick up.
Mike Kaluta keeps producing the quality, he produced some strong work for DC’s House of Mystery in this era including this cover to #294.
A great comic book cover matching each day of the year, 1 through 365. Please chime in with your favourite corresponding cover, from any era.
Hulk definitely needs braces.
Spidey is best! Batman has the Joker but for some reason its not knocking my socks off! Hulk looks like he is about to floss with the guy in bed and the HoM kid is being menaced by a Dr Suess character… so neither get my vote!
Gerald’s comments are great although I still like HoM.
#295 is really bad overall. However I like Avengers enough to pick it. Also Hulk is a good one from Sienkiewicz’s Adams style period.
Detective continues the tradition.
Yes, Day #295 is bad!
Today is okay with the picks. Tomorrow is slim, but thanks to Bill Sienkiewicz we get 2 different styles of eye catching covers.
The winner of 295 has to be the Hulk. It’s still fairly true to ‘typical’ comic art, with just enough flair to show it’s Bill’s. His ASM cover
on the other hand, is clearly his more wild style, but I still like it.
Not sure what Meli likes about the Avengers cover, makes me think of a bad Transformer’s knock off with that dino-bot wannabe. Palmer
did way better covers prior to this one.
World’s Finest isn’t bad either, though visually confusing, the art is solid.
Meli is right about that Detective 295… I would rather read a three month run of Mary Worth then that comic!
