Covered 365: Day 245

Amazing Spider-Man #245, Marvel Comics, October 1983, Artist: John Romita Jr.

I’ve always loved the cover to Amazing Spider-Man #245, great work from Junior.

I really like the Leinil Francis Yu Fantastic Four Variant cover to X-Men Legacy #245, great look to this cover.

Neal Adams gives us 2 strong #245 covers, Batman and the one I like better, World’s Finest #245.

John Byrne continues his impressive run on Fantastic Four with a memorable cover to #245.

A great comic book cover matching each day of the year, 1 through 365. Please chime in with your favourite corresponding cover, from any era.

  1. A flat no on the ASM, way too simple for my tastes.

The FF doesn’t quite rate my pick – I do like it because it is Byrne, otherwise I probably wouldn’t care for it a lot.

For tomorrow it’s mostly Adams. I think it is a tie between Batman and Flash, and I’ll take Flash because Batman is also the JOWA (“Not again!”). The other two I’ll pick are the other Adams (World’s Finest) and Conan, which is a bit off but still cool.

I don’t know if it’s really a JOWA contender, but ASM as a crude piece with Jameson in a track suit and limbo Spider-Man deserves a mention.

  2. As Ive said often…Amazing Spiderman # ‘s 200 to 300 are as good as it gets in comics. New creators growing up loving Spiderman showing their stuff.
