Day 23 – Keen Detective Funnies #23, Artist – Harry Sahle.
What a great cover, reminds me a bit of Mary Marvel #5. These old Centaurs are tough to snag especially the ones with the cool covers.
Not a huge fan of this one. Its a nice cover but I wouldn’t call it a great cover. I like Human Torch 23, Phantom lady 23, Master Comics 23, Chamber of Chills 23, Hit Comics 23, True Life Secrets 23, Frankenstein 23 and Moon Knight Vol 1 23.
Nathan, you have some great points there, I just mentioned those other Raboy Master issues after Walter’s post of the Master cover, they are all so fine. Your choice of #23 is a classic. But…Centaur did not last long, with many higher issue numbers…so glad to not see them passed by. This pick indeed is one of the more eccentric and fun. Usually everyone focuses on the Arrow covers or Amazing Man, so I thought this one is nicely outside the box. I’ve always like it.
