Amazing Spider-Man #308, Marvel Comics, November 1988. Artist: Todd McFarlane.
Todd McFarlane’s cover to Amazing Spider-Man #308 is the easy winner today, powerful cover with great use of colors and shades.
My boy Dick Dillin is back with a sizzling cover to Detective Comics #308.
Finally my newest best friend Chris Samnee brings me another fine cover to Wolverine #308.
A great comic book cover matching each day of the year, 1 through 365. Please chime in with your favourite corresponding cover, from any era.

I liked all of your picks today Walt. Thanks (except wolverine’s numbering and that its a variant…perhaps three unused covers, thrown in the garbage, should somehow qualify too? ) 🙂
I hear your frustration Dave. I think I threw in the towel… almost… on new comics with Hero’s Reborn ( remember the awful Leifeld Captain America cover? ). But I didn’t give up on comics…and Walt and the gangs highlighting of newer stuff does make me go out and check them out… its one of the reasons I like Comic Culture so much… highlights of new comics and discussion of the industry on a whole. Plus we get to hear some amazingly bad puns that I will admit I laugh at ( although its usually at 5 am after I get home from my night job so I could be a bit punch drunk).
It’s too bad that Todd can’t spell ‘kidnapped’ though. It’s not like he didn’t have the room for the extra ‘p’.
U.S. spelling. “Kidnap past participle: kidnaped”.
its true Gerald..still lots of fun to be had..Thank you 🙂
Isn’t Todd a Canadian? I can’t say I’ve ever seen thst spelling.
